Today, I want to share with you my experience with building a brick wood-burning oven in my backyard. It was a huge project, but it was worth it!

Then came the fun part – choosing the wood! I learned that hardwoods are the way to go. I got some ash, maple, and oak. These woods burn hot and long, which is perfect for cooking. Plus, they give off this amazing smoky flavor. After all, who doesn’t like a hint of smoky flavor in their pizza?
Finally, the oven was ready! It took a few weeks of hard work, but I was so proud of myself. I fired it up for the first time, and it was magical. The first thing I cooked was pizza, obviously. And let me tell you, it was the best pizza I’ve ever had! The crust was crispy, the cheese was bubbly, and the flavor was just incredible.
