Alright, let’s talk about these wooden bricks, you know, the things they use for buildin’ stuff. I ain’t no fancy builder or nothin’, but I seen enough things gettin’ built in my days to know a thing or two.
First off, what are these wooden bricks anyway? Well, from what I gather, they’re like them little wood pellets they burn in them stoves, but bigger and shaped like, well, bricks. They take wood, the good stuff without the bark, and smash it all together real tight. But before they do that, they gotta dry it out good, like hangin’ clothes on the line in the sun, only they do it in some fancy oven thingy, a “kiln” they call it. Gotta get all the water out, make it real dry, less than 10% water they say, whatever that means. Sounds like dryin’ hay to me, gotta get it real dry afore you put it in the barn, otherwise it’ll get all moldy, same thing I guess.
- They take wood, good wood mind you, no bark
- Smash it real tight, like makin’ a snowball but harder
- Dry it out good, gotta get the water out
Now, where do you use these wooden bricks? Well, I heard tell they can use ’em for walls, just like regular bricks. You know, the red ones, the ones they make outta clay. But these wooden ones, they say you can even use ’em inside the house, on the walls, even on top of a wood floor. That sounds kinda strange, wood on top of wood, but I guess them smarty-pants engineers know what they’re doin’. They said somethin’ about the floor gotta be strong enough to hold the extra weight, which makes sense. You don’t wanna put too much stuff on a rickety table, same thing with the floor I figure. They even got these little wooden bricks for kids, like them buildin’ blocks, only made outta wood, easy to put together and play with. My grandbaby plays with them all the time, keeps him quiet for a while, which is a blessing.
Why would someone use wooden bricks instead of regular bricks? Well, I reckon it’s gotta do with how easy they are to use. They say you can build with them just like you build with them kids’ blocks, stickin’ ’em together easy-peasy. And maybe they’re lighter too, easier to carry around. I ain’t gettin’ any younger, so liftin’ heavy stuff ain’t as easy as it used to be. Plus, wood is warm, you know? Not cold like them clay bricks. Maybe a house made outta wooden bricks is warmer in the winter, that’d be nice wouldn’t it? And maybe they’re better for the environment too, you know, all that talk about savin’ the trees. They use the leftover wood, the stuff they can’t use for other things, so nothin’ goes to waste. That’s what my son tells me anyway, he’s always goin’ on about bein’ eco-friendly and all that. I say as long as the house is sturdy and keeps the wind out, I don’t care what it’s made of.
So, there you have it, my two cents on these wooden bricks. They sound alright, easy to use, warm, and maybe even good for the planet. I still like a good old-fashioned brick house myself, but hey, times are changin’, and maybe these wooden bricks are the way of the future. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll be livin’ in a house made outta ‘em. As long as it’s got a good roof and keeps the rain out, I’m happy.
Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. All this talk about buildin’ has made me hungry. Maybe I’ll make some of them wooden brick sandwiches, ha! Just kiddin’, just plain ol’ bread for me, thank you very much.
And that’s all I got to say about these wooden bricks, hope it made some sense to ya. They seem alright, I guess, but I’m sticking with what I know for now. But who knows, maybe one day I’ll change my mind. Stranger things have happened. You never know these days, things change faster than the weather around here.
One more thing before I go, if you’re gonna build somethin’ with them wooden bricks, make sure you do it right. Get someone who knows what they’re doin’, you don’t wanna end up with a house that falls down on your head. That would be a fine mess, wouldn’t it? So, be careful, and make sure you do your homework. And that’s all, I’m done talkin’ about wooden bricks. Time for a nice cup of tea and some peace and quiet.
Oh and another thing, I heard tell you can paint these wooden bricks, any color you want. So, if you don’t like the look of plain wood, you can spruce it up a bit. That’s kinda nice, ain’t it? Always good to have options. But me, I like the natural look of wood, reminds me of the forest, you know, all the trees and such. It’s peaceful and calming. But to each their own I always say.
